A Letter from Our Founder

Welcome.  My name is Brent D. Murphy.  I am the founder of John Patrick University School of Health & Applied Sciences (JPU).  The inspiration behind JPU’s mission, values, and culture all started with my military upbringing.  I was blessed to have the US Army pay for my schooling.  I served proudly in the 25th Infantry Division and later at Tripler Army Medical Center where I led radiation safety operations, medical health physics operations, and training of radiology residents.  The military taught me many things.  At each stage of my military career, I studied those troops that went the extra mile to serve their country, their fellow patriots, their patients, and their family.  All of them had one specific thing in common.  Selfless Service.

JPU’s mission, vision, and values have focused on serving our students with loyalty, respect, and integrity.  We offer allied health education to prepare you for a new career in the Radiological Sciences, Medical Imaging Sciences, Business and Informatics, and Integrative and Functional Medicine. Our programs will not only challenge you, they will teach you the academic component, clinical component, industry component, and the patient-customer component.

Graduates are well rounded and are educated to best serve the patients of not only this great country but those patients around the world.  I welcome you to learn more about JPU, where the core values define our pathways:

  • Clinical Compassion
  • Clinical Competence
  • Clinical Confidence
  • Clinical Communication

Be a part of this unique culture.  Patriot to Professional.
